Wrangell St. Elias National Park

Larger than Switzerland, with mountains just as majestic and not even a fraction of the population. Wrangell St. Elias National Park is a dream for anyone who loves mountains. The park contains nine of the 16 highest peaks in the United States. The Nabesna Glacier, nearly 80 miles long, is the longest non-polar valley glacier. To truly understand the magnitude of the land one must experience it from the air.

Pack Raft and Float Trips

For floating and pack rafting in Wrangell St. Elias National Park we support and suggest the following rivers: Nabesna River, and White River. For more information on these check out our float page. We are able to access more areas within the park but these have good summer flow rates.

Mountain Climbing and Skiing/Snowboarding/Splitboarding

If you looking for a nice long ride we recommend Mount Sanford. This mountain offers a nice gentle terrain and a 10 mile long run from the summit to Sheep Glacier. That's it your straight lining it too. Double that if you add a lot of carving and traversing to your descent. Other great mountains include: Mount Blackburn, Rime, President's Chair, Ahtna and Regal peaks. For more information on these check out our Climb or Ride pages.
